ACC carpet question, fitment
Any of you guys have problems with the rear wheel well hump, and the carpet not being shaped right? Just putting these in, and the DS seems to have extra material in the hump area. PS isn't to bad, but the DS seems to have about 2-3 inches extra padding and carpet in the hump area, I hate the idea of slicing it there and have a weak point later on.

I used ACC carpet in my 73. It took a little work to get that area to fit well. I layed mine in the sun for awhile and then installed it. It seemed to me easier to get it to lay down correctly. By the way, my brother lives in Angola. North of the Ford dealer on the East side.

Installed this in both my '75 coupe & '68 convertible the last five or so years. I also used that 3M SuperStick Spray Carpet Adhesive. To me, they came out very nice. :yesnod:

I just installed mine as well and noticed the exact same problem, what i did was start from the back and slowly glue the carpet down and push it out as far to each edge as i could while gluing and the extra material stayed down without a wrinkle
