Default Suspension work

Hi,

I work the last two days outside with some snow and wind. So I tought I would post some pics of my front suspension work.

I lowered the front by about 1 inch. After reading the Vette Improvement Program, they got me to cut my coils. I cut one coil from the open space end (the top). It's suppose to get the spring rate 20% higher over stock. And the overall height from the fender is now 26.5 inches. That's with 0.5 inch smaller overall tire diameter 255/45 r17.

Tomorow I'll adjust the rear height with some 8 inches bolts.

And thanks to Norval, I drill my upper control arm to gain caster. My car has a nasty habbit to follow the imperfection of the road. That problem appeared when I installed the 17 inch wheels. So I hope that it will be solve.

Stephan

Your car looks great! Can you explain how/where to "drill the upper control arm"? Does the lower picture have anything to do with that?

Thank you!

Thanks all, It's good to hear after freezing my butt outside. :D

...Can you explain how/where to "drill the upper control arm"?...

Note that the upper control arm is upside down. I drill two hole toward the front of the car so that when I bolted it on the car through these new hole, the control arm would stand toward the rear of the car. That increase the caster angle. I drill them 3/8 inch center to center of the old hole.
