I am using stock brakes accept for o-ring pistons and moderate performance pads.
But I added a hydroboost. That made a huge difference!! I can't imagine the brakes being much better. I had manual brakes before. converting to power is a big job and not cheap, but the C3 hydroboost kit was reasonable priced and it is a direct bolt on.
BTW- it is VERY hard to read all caps. If you turn off the cpas lock more people will read your posts.
There are VBP (Vette Brakes), SSBC (Stainless Steel Brakes Corp), and probably 30 other sources for various stages of iron Corvette calipers. At a minimum, they all offer at least a stainless steel bore sleeve to improve the raw, and rust prone iron bore. After that, you get into various options, like O-ring seals that address issues like air pumping and such.
You can also go to your local parts house and pick up rebuilt and new iron calipers.
There are alternatives beyond the iron caliper. Almost all of these alternatives reduce your unspring weight by using aluminum calipers. These alternatives do not significantly improve the factory brake performance unless your application is a lot of hard brake use such as running autocross events.
And, yes, "best" has no real meaning. You're not being charged by the word so the more specific you describe what exactly it is you're looking for the better the input you will receive. And please do turn off your caps lock.

Can you please provide sources and part numbers for each of the components you mentioned? Also, can I purchase a set for front brackets from you?
Thanks, Will
