I just replaced the outer window seals on my 77. PITA!!!! The replacement ones were rubber about a 1/4" wide. The original were felt. Now the glass is very hard to go down & somewhat hard to go up. Has anyone experienced this and what were your results? Did I get the correct parts? Will they get better with time?
I just recently posted this exact topic and was informed that there are original style and there are rubber ones. I removed the rubber one that was hindering window adjustment and bought new ones from Corvette Central and they seem to fit right. Good Luck, Craig
The Corvette Central outer door seals are claimed to be built to exact factory specs. I replaced mine about a month ago and they fit perfectly. Smooth operating.

Re: Outer window seals (kenko74)
Wow, how timely is this post. I just looked at mine today while I was at the painters and thought I need to get new ones. So, now that I know, I will do my best to avoid the rubber ones. Thanks for the heads up on this one.
