I was just in the "reading room" browsing through the Behrent's catalog. It looks like K&N has two flavors of 14" dropped-base air cleaner bottoms to choose from.
K&N85-3545 is a 7/8" drop. ($21.93)
K&N85-3549 is a 1 1/2" drop. ($27.17)
Looks like you have to buy the tops separately.

I got a drop base from Corvette America in PA (?) which is about 2.5 " drop. It is used on an L88 setup, since i went with an L88 hood with fresh air ; the air filter fits in the fresh air plenum of the hood. The drop base can be used without the L88 hood so long as you have clearance around the carb body , etc... I just had my drop base chromed -- looks great.
