I recently purchased a 1970 with a small block & 4 speed manual. The back up light switch, bracket & linkage is missing. I have ordered new parts & was wondering if someone would be able to provide me with a diagram or a picture of where & how this mounts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will post pics of the car when I get it all back together.
Re: Need help with mounting back up light switch. (propellar)
propellar,
Here are 3 shots that Eddie70 took for me back in the fall. This shows the orientation of the switch and the rod that connects to the reverse shifter arm.
The pics are large, about 500k each, so instead of inserting the images, here are the links. Shoot back with any other questions. I've just finished hooking up my switch so I can help guide you through it.
Re: Need help with mounting back up light switch. (Jughead)
I ordered all of the parts from Corvette Central. They had everything, shield, bracket, linkage, switch & bolt kit. Can't remember how much all of the parts were. I think somewhere around $80.00. I have ordered so many parts in the last 3 weeks I am having a hard time keeping track. The amount of parts & work that have been done in past 3 weeks is going to be worth it. Trying to get ready for the warm weather. Should have her back on the road by the end of next week.
