Default Valve Covers for '71

I recently bought a small block 71 coupe which I am enjoying very much. The valve covers are not stock. I would like to replace them with correct ones for my year. Can anyone tell me if they were orange in color for this year or aluminum? Thanks!

The base engine should have the stamped steel, chevy orange valve covers. The optional small blocks should have the ribbed alumn valve covers.
