What causes a bent pushrod?
I just started my rebuilt engine with vortec heads. and only ran for about 2 minutes with a slight popping sound. Pulled valve cover off and noticed a bent pushrod.

Sounds like a valve hitting a piston to me, ask engine builder what the piston to valve clearance was on intake and exhaust valves :D

or too much lift, how big is the came, stock vortecs can only go to .48"
