Awhile back I asked how to take them apart for muffler replacement and where to get the replacement mufflers. Still need to know where to get mufflers ie; web site or other?? THANKS :chevy
more info I have a 69 350-350hp, the hooker side pipes appear to be a very old design, Put on car early seventies(best guess) they were on car in cold storage since 89, single pipe welded to each side up to exhaust manifold, I think these we put on just for the looks not much value for more hp. All I want is to get some muffler replacements that aren`t real loud yet don`t rob to much hp. The spira baffels are spendy but I never had to shop for this stuff before is there other options? :chevy
300 gets you the pair and you truly won't be sorry with either the sound or the performance. I have them on my 69 and I love them and Jim is a great guy to deal with. Bill.

another option, if the spirals are out of your price range, Summit carries the reverse flow and fiber glass packed...around 150 bucks...but the reverse flow and glass packed restrict exhaust flow, not really free flowing.

:iagree:
And with the money you save you can buy "go fast" goodies that will add 10-20 horsepower. The problem is, that if you simply get the spiral baffles, you will make far more power than the other "go fast" goodies would make.
