HI PERF PASS, does this mean anything good, or of good value
when on the rear of the blocks. of the 454.
I also have a 396/375 hp factory stock, that saez this on the rear to,
but not sure what it came out of???

Post some casting numbers to know what it came out of. I'm not sure if ALL (but many) high perf pass blocks were 4 bolt mains. At least mine is for that matter. :cheers:

"Hi Perf Pass" isn't all that rare and doesn't mean it's a 4 bolt main block. My motor is also stamped "Hi Perf Pass" and it's a 2 bolt block. Were you able to find a casting number on the heads yet?

I have not pulled anythingthing apart yet. I will wait till i get a complete gasket set. I found a nice 81 Z28, no motor or trans. I bought it today.
Instead of fooling with the vette and getting side tracked AGAIN, I will build a nice street car with this. :seeya
