The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Neil.
car is never driven in the rain and always under cover (even at work)...
so im just going to polish them...
he said that under those conditions, it wouldnt be a big deal...
and we all know what ends up happening to clear coated aluminum...
i am giong to replace the black ring in the center with black sign vinyl as in the "before" pic...
and i have new chrome valve stems also...
i really wanted to do this as i personaly think that these original style wheels look the best on these year Corvettes...
i am VERY satisfied...
if anyone would like to know where this guy is, especialy yall from south florida...let me know...
it is a wheel repair shop...he also reairs damaged wheels...
ie...chipped, bent, broken etc...
i would also like to thank Marc (shoptec) for helping me get the wheels to the shop as i am a three hour drive from there and Marc was kind enough to meet me and shuttle them down there for me, which saved me a few hours drive time as he lives and works near there...
thanx again Marc!!!
i have tried and all i have been able to do is waste a lot of time and hard work with almost no results...
i dont have a clue how he does it...
the way i figure is that a lot of guys spend a lot more than $400 on new wheels...so in my mind i actually SAVED money! :D

Is this something you make?? I would be interested in buying a set.....let me know!!
the plotter actually cuts the donut shape perfectly and after i stick them down, i cut around the outer lug hole ridge with an xacto knife...
works better than paint because they wont chip...
one thing tho...it has to very smooth where they stick down...
