Default Head casting number info?

Gettin ready to do a top end rebuild and i'm still deciding what to do. I don't know much about the motor i have but i'm slowly figuring it out. I lifted the valve cover and got the numbers off the heads but can't find the numbers on any website i've been on. All i can figure out is the build date. The numbers on the head are 373487 and the date was H 12 71. Anyone with any help or any other web sites i can check would be a great help. (already checked mortec and anglefire)
Also anyone using the edelbrock perfomer or the rpm intake?
thanks guys

Well Mike your casting number is missing a number. But for that date code of August 12, 1971 corvettes used head number 3973487 for both 1971 & '72. That head was used for 175, 200, 255, 270, 330 hp applications. But my book says they'r open camber 75.5 cc. 161cc int/65cc exh runner volumes. Came with stock screw in studs though.
Good luck. cardo0

I think you dropped a number. The 3973487 head was used on all 350's in 71 and most of the 72's including the LT1.

Hope this helps.
