how fast ?
what kinda of 1/4 miles times can one expect with 1973 L82 Auto 3.55 gear [stock] run?
What if it had a few mods like:
262 High Energy Cam from Compatition Cams
Roller Rockers, 1.5 :1
Eldebrack performer intake
Chambered exhaust with stock manifolds

Car & Driver and R&T both did road tests in 73 with L82's, 4 speeds, and 3.70 gears.
Car & Driver: 15.1 seconds @ 95.4 mph
R&T: 15.5 seconds @ 94 mph
With the same gearing, Car & Driver tested the low compression LT-1 in 1971 (330 hp gross/255 net) Even though this is only 5 more hp than the L82, It is my personal opinion that the early L82s were seriously overrated and the LT-1 was typically underrated. The changes you suggest are inline with what an LT-1 would be. The results were much better for the LT-1: 14.57 seconds @ 100.55 mph.
