Default Hydra-boost Brake Conversion Completed!! What a Difference!!!!

I was finally able to take my 69 big block convertible for a spin last night with the new Hydra-boost system installed I purchased from Hydratech Braking Systems. All I can say is man what a great feeling to have brakes that work better than they ever have before!!! Here is a little back ground on why I decided to go with the Hydra-boost system. First off my car was a power brake car and the power brakes did work fine. About 3 years ago during my frame off restoration of this car I built a 509 cubic inch big block motor for it. I needed to run some tall valve covers on the motor in order to clear the Jessel valve train system I used. After getting the motor installed back into the car I ran into the issue of the power brake booster hitting the valve cover on the drivers side. At that time I just figured I would convert to manual brakes by installing a manual master cylinder and a power to manual brake conversion plate and be done with it. I also run a fairly aggressive solid roller cam that does not produce a ton of engine vacuum so the less things that I had that required vacuum the better off I thought I would be. Well I learned real quick like that you just can't do this conversion without changing the height of the hole on the brake pedal arm where the clevis pin goes through it. My pedal was like stepping on a rock and on top of that not having any stopping power at all. Well after reading numerous posts on the Hydra-boost product I went ahead and purchased the system. All I can say is that if you are looking for a state of the art braking system the Hydra-boost system is the way to go. Brake pedal effort is smooth and I have more stopping power than I ever have had before. Great product and one of the best upgrades I have ever made to the car!!!
