Default radio restoration

I would like to get my '70 AM/FM radio restored (both form and function). I remember hearing there was someone who does by replacing the guts with modern electronics but can't remember who. Anybody done this before? Do they do the cosmetics also?
Thanks

I bought mine from http://www.antiqueautomobileradio.com/cart/default.cfm

There is another company that does the same thing, but I don't remember their name.

Overall I am happy with it, but the sound wasn't as good as I wanted. They do add a line in so you can add a CD changer or XM reciever. If you aren't too picky about the sound, then It would be good for you.

I wanted to do this too. The stock radios were about 7 watts I think and they upgrade them to 44. Cost is about $400 and turn around tiem is a couple of months.
Two places that I spoke to are:

Classic Auto Radio 800-880-1409 Dave. He's in FL

Mike Hagan Radio in PA 215-547-7145

I haven't had time or money to send the radio out yet, so if you use one of these guys let me know how the radio works.
