Sanden 508 AC Compressor
I have had bad luck with the Rebuilt Chrome AC Compressors. I have had two that leaked at the front seal and now have a third one in the garage and will try to install it this weekend. After two failures my hopes are not high.
Does anyone have the Sanden 508 or anyother type installed on a C3? Specifically, what were the installation obstacles?

I'm using the 508 on my BB, no problems with the installation:

There are several companies that supply the brackets - this one seems reasonable: http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/Catalog.htm
Other than brackets, I think all you need are some custom-fabricated hoses that most any good A/C shop should be able to do.

OH6, go to Custom Auto Air on Phillips and University....Bowden.....they do custom hoses, took good care of my vette....I have an '88 vette compressor and serp drive on my engine....I recommend the entire changeover....
but if you still have the old mechanical fan, maybe...well not sure if you can get reverse rotation fans or not.....
but then again...go electric fan like I did....
