HELP..GETTING READY TO INSTALL MY NEW CARPET IN MY '72 COUPE. IS THERE A"CORRECT" WAY TO INSTALL THIS NEW CARPET? FOR INSTANCE FRONT FIRST, THEN THE BULKHEAD/REAR CARGO AREA? DOES THE NCRS CHECK UNDER THE CARPETING? INSULATION ALREADY IN PLACE. :conehead
I redid mine this winter. NCRS? Don't know them. My stepson said " It's 33 years old but it looks new." I can live with that. I put the wheelwells in 1st; then the back deck[leaving overhang to fit/trim the bat/jack/glove boxes] then both driver/pass side. Last the bulkhead behind the seats. You'll see that you can't cut stitched seams[ backdeck & rear bulkhead] center the best you can. Align the lower bulkhead seams to their lower points on both sides; glue[3M]; tuck into the grooves at the door jambs; over the top of the bulkhead and under the front of your box frame. Good luck '72
Not to many NCRS types here; but I bet they look under your carpet and check out the air quality in your tires as well. BTW, nothing like new carpet! :jester
