What should i do next? composite spring problem.
Original high of car used to be 26 1/2" fron and back , i really like the high. After installed the TRW composite spring with 8" bolts and now it is sitting at 29". To adjust the even high on both sides i had to cut 3/4" on the pass. side bolt , so it just the same if i use the original or provided bolts (order from Van Steel). I know some of you used the 10" bolts to lower your car , but i like to know if they work for mine because i have 265-50-16 tires on my car.The spring is about an inch from the side and above the rim right now. Please advise me how to get it down to even 27" or lower if possible and not cause any interference. Am i using the wrong size rim for this spring ? Another TRW spring victim. :banghead:
I'd return it in exchange for something that works. I tried the TRW spring and had the same difficulty. Using longer bolts it not the answer as the spring will be too close to the tires.
