Anyone know where I can get a stock (style) L-48 air cleaner for a 1977 for a decient price?

Need one and can't find one.

Here's one on ebay but it says it's for an L82 was there a difference?

The difference is the number of snorkels...L48s have one while L82's have two.

Not in 77 - both the L-48 and L-82 had single snorkles. I don't know if they were identical, but they both had one snorkle.

I may put a L-82 air cleaner on it if I find one cheap enough.

I didn't know the 77 L-82 was a single snorkel. Is this true?
I was gonna try to retro fit a dual snorkel onto the car. Can this work?

Hello, Most 77's had a single snorkle that got feed from a duct that went over the top of the radiator. Some L82's had a second snorkle that got fed from a duct in the fenderwell. I havn't figured out how to add a photo to this reply but if you email me at; frank@itpphoto.com I'll send it to you.

1977 L-48 Single Snorkel ; 1977 L-82 Dual Snorkel. I have seen both posted on ebay recently for decent price. :steering: :auto:

Must be an early/late thing then. My 77 is a L-82/4 speed (late 77) and it came with a single snorkel and a different A/C system (same as the 78's)
