Chuck...Glad to see the tuning is going well. The Inovate Mororsports wide band O2 recorder with the RPM module is a great tool. I am with you, I don't know how I ever tuned a carb without one. I now have mine tuned for 14.7 at idle, 15.4 at cruze and 12.6 at wide open throttle. My bigest issue was geting the A/F consistent over the RPM range while at wide open throttle. It originally went from about 13 at 2000 RPM to 10.5 at 6000 RPM. Changing the air bleeds solved this issue. I went from 30's to 35's on the secondary side and from 30's to 31's on the primary side. The A/F is now constant at 12.6 accross the RPM range. The car feels stronger and the throttle is very crisp other than recording 19.6 MPG on a recent trip out to Indiana I don't yet have any other numbers to back the improvements.

This is just amazing. :bb All I can say is I'm amazed. :bb Just amazed how easy it is to tune a carb for rock steady numbers like 14.7, 15.4 and 12.6 under all atmosphereic conditions. :bb This is just amazing. :bb And for only $450 plus carb parts. I'm so amazed I need to get some fresh air before I get impulsive and order two. :bb :bb
cardo0, the only BS I've heard Chuck Harmon spread is when he tells me he likes the exhaust note on my LM-1!
Admittedly, it is not an unpleasant noise, but it is nothing like the thunderous roar of his L-88. Perhaps a wideband O2 sensor is not for everyone, but when you're out there trying to squeeze EVERY SINGLE LAST HORSEPOWER out of a motor, and trying to maximize the fuel economy, WHY NOT? Plus, he can share it with his buddies (IE me :) and tsw71, and whomever else he trusts!) so that we all can enjoy the wealth of a wideband O2 sensor.
