Obviously you've not ever lived in Florida. I did for 10 years and you'll be cursing yourself after you've removed them.
Rain Rain Rain all day all night maybe not for 3 days but yet always, not a cloud in the sky then BOOM from no where rain from Hell.

Re: Some Random Ideas (Cali,68,L-79)
I think its a good idea, but I could personally never do it due to the fact that mine is a daily driver and I would be afraid of my car getting broken into. Sounds like a thieves paradise to me. Just my 2 cents. :chevy

Yeah, the rain here in florida is wierd, very wierd. It will start all of a sudden with little warning. Suddenly stop, start again. You can drive in one area it will be raining, then 50 yards later, the rain is completely gone. Go backward 50 yards and your back in the middle of some heavy rain. Just crazy stuff.

I once drove a C3 without a seat, using a sleeping bag, DO WE REALLY NEED the SEAT? Think of all the weight you could save there!

If you're moving to FL and don't want to drive in the rain, be prepared for summer storage, from mid June - Oct.
If you want to test the plastic, once it's in place for water tightness, use a garden hose, set on "stream". That's how hard it rains down here.
he beat me to it...but thats what i was gonna say... :yesnod:

I used to visit the grand parents in Tampa ( imagine that ) I remember sitting inside watching it rain HARD forever. Grandpa would empty his 2" rain gauge twice in one day.
The next day tho would be beautifull
