Started her Saturday night after about a month. Pulled the light switch out, headlights popped up, but no Speedometer and tach gage lights. The cluster in the middle-- temp, oil, etc. lit up... but not the other two. I guess there are four or five bulbs in each gage that did not light.... Any thoughts? :smash:
All of these items are fed hot by a common wire( probably gray) from the instrument panel fuse which in turn is fed hot when the headlight switch is pulled is out. They are also grounded together up by the courtesy light. Sounds like maybe a loose connector on the back of the speedo tach cluster.
Rich if you do that, check the connections on the back of the wiper switch. I think the power wire jumps from it to the Speedo tach cluster. Remember we're talking about the lamp illumination circuit only, nothing else.
