Default Interior T-Top Pads

I started to redo my interior today 71 coupe and I am having a little trouble getting the T-Top center interior pad off, I have removed all other interior upper pads this is the last one, I have all screws out but the pad still seems to tight to come off?, are their screws under the chrome trim, the T-Tops themselves sit on??

Thanks in advance Dave

PS These pads have cleaned up so nice thay look like NEW .

Did you remove the interior light???

I have never done this, so this is just a guess.

I think that there is a "velcro" type attachment holding the center section up, along with the screws. Similar to the stuff that holds the T-top inserts up. If I recall correctly, when I parted the 71, I encounted the same situation.

It a product from Nautical Ease Marine. I have owned boats for 20 years and this product works like a dream.

IT IS AN INDUSTRIAL strength TYPE PRODUCT and great care should be given when you use it called "Non skid deck cleaner & black streak remover"it will melt the grime right before your eyes and the black crud will start to run on contact so be ready with a lot of clean rags. It will also take out most stains but it will strip all wax and oil build-up off you vinyl leaving you with a clean dry surface. You will need also to rinse with clean water and treat with a vinyl conditioner I use 303.

YOU CANNOT ALLOW IT TO COME IN CONTACT WITH GLASS OR PAINT IT WILL ETCH THESE PRODUCTS IF LEFT ON THESE SURFACES FOR VARY LONG. It is safe on vinal,fiberglass/Gel coat and have never had a problem if it got on the carpet of my boats.

http://www.nauticalease.com/ Call the owner he is a vary knowledge and nice guy.

Not sure if these pic will show anything

I seem to remember a couple of long posts (nail like) being imbedded in the pad on my 69. I had to give a good pull but they let go and it came off.
