Problem with diff, T/A's, bearings, what?
When I accelerate hard the car wants to steer (ever so slighty but noticeable) to the right and when I snap the throttle closed it steers left. It certainly feels like something is loose in the rear but a visual inspection doesn't reveal much. Any ideas as to a cause or what to check out?
The u-joints have about 25,000 miles on them. The driver's side T/A and bearing are newly rebuilt. Any help would be appreciated.

The rear "crabs" one way when you get on the gas and the other when you let off? yes?
Mine does the same thing. I've been told it's trailing arm bushings, but I haven't been able to convince myself to tear them out yet. Why'd you only redo 1 TA? ...could still have a problem with the other

Yeah, that's pretty much what it's doing. The reason I replaced only one is that I am just doing a staged maintence program. They don't seem to need it as far as I can tell but I figure it is about time to rebuild them. You may be correct, that the other one needs it. I guess I need a good way to check it and I'm not sure what I need to look for.

Sure it might not be an engine mount ?
The motor moving an inch or so can steer the car.
Mine did that for a year before I replaced the mount.
If it's in the rear, you gotta jack it up and have someone
wrestle with the wheel while you look for what has the play - if any.
Wiggle wheel 3-9 to check wheel bearing play and 12-6 to check
for strut rod bushings, ujoints, side yoke play.
If the TA bushing is shot, you should be able to move the front of the TA
side to side a bit with a pry bar. A good bushing should be pretty solid.
