Hopefully it will keep my feet from burning up. :D I figure with the side pipes the floor should run coor than the stock exhaust anyway, but I rather be safe than sorry. Also I hope to reduce the interior noise, evey little bit helps I guess.
Re: I insulated the interior today... (74-Roadster)
I not sure on the exact name, but I picked it a couple weeks ago at the big swap meet in Pate, Tx. It was a big roll for $25 which is pretty cheap compared to what you see in Summit, and other catalogs.
theprevious owner went to great lengths to remove all the firewall grommets, lower shifter rubber boot all in order to make the driver's seat the heat sink for the vechicle. I could roast a chicken on a hot day on my seat.
Re: I insulated the interior today... (mikesfst69)
I like those gauges, Ive thought of putting the same in my 69 can you tell me how hard they were to install? any modifying, and what type of gauges
It wasn't that bad of a job. The gauges are Autometer Ultra-lites, and believe me they are light compared to the stock units. I wanted to retain the stock housing and all that was needed was to use the bracing supplied w/ the gauges. I re-wired the entire car via Painless Wiring, but I'm sure it's still a simple hook-up.
