69 Positraction

69 Positraction
The 69 we are looking at buying does not have positraction. It looks like there were aproximatly 1500 order this way from the factory. How much of a disadvantage will this be not having Posi on a 69?

You're right, posi wasn't standard equipment until 1970. Little known fact. It would bother me not having posi. I never had a performance car without posi. Depends on what use you have in mind for the car. Just a weekend cruiser? Then you probably won't miss it. Street & strip racer, you'd want it.
Don't think I'd make posi or no posi a deal breaker though. You can always swap the rear out. :D

You could add posi. They made 3 speed manual 69's too but why would anyone want one? Years ago there was a 69 3 speed, one leg coupe in CT that sat for a while before being sold. Sure it might be considered rare now,but I rather have a 4 spd with posi. It all depends on what you want. If everything else is to your liking get it and add the posi some day.
