as most of you have heard, my car got in a wreck cause the wheel came off while i was driving tearing up the rear panel and doing some damage around that area. the insurance company came out and pretty much told me i could do what i wanted to get it fixed as long as the places i choose called and gave them an estimate. well ill be having the car towed to a place to have the wheel studs, rotor, leafspring bushing, and any other part they find damaged to be replaced. that should be started tomrrow(tuesday) and hopefully finished by wednesday or thursday. before it gets towed out there i will be having the body guy come look at it. hes a highly skilled guy i found out by some fellow classic vette owners that just absolutely hold this guy in the highest praise for his workmanship/quality. so im very excited about him workin on my car. hopefully things will go smoothly and maybe she'll be back on the road in no time! ill keep you all posted with pics cause i know how much eveyrone loves pics  - Bob
got the car to the shop today to get it back to driveable condition. looks like ill have it in the body shop a week from this monday. so far so good! :)
I was following this on the other thread. How did you get them to go from "we don't do fiberglas, it's totaled" to "fix it anywhere as long as we get an estimate"? Super glad it went your way and you get your car fixed. See if the 'glas guy will let you take a few pictures of the work in progress for your pals on the 'net!
what caused the huge change in the insurance company's policy or whatever is a surprise to me, i was pretty po'ed they would even consider tootallying the car. the guy thats fixing the car probably wont have much problem with me stopping by, ill make sure i take lots of photos. im gonna see if i can watch him work on it for a bit if i get some time off work to see how the whole process of fixing fiberglass works. im hopin to have her on the road in 3 weeks. :)
