Twice now I have gone to CF get-togethers and been the only one. Most recently: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=811801 Mostly the C5 guys. Had a great time any way. Hope to see some of you at one soon.
I won't be ready to fire up the LS1 for another couple of weeks, Dave is in the middle of a tranny swap, and I don't know about anyone else... I guess they have no excuses. As soon as my car is on the road, I'll be showing it off every chance I get. Look for me sometime end of May / beginning of June.
:auto: :steering:
I've been pretty busy lately on the weekends, so I haven't had a chance to go to any events. I've noticed in the Great Lakes forum that all the SE MI events seem to be C5s only (e.g. Joe Kools, Stony Creek, etc.). I usually go to T-Birds (Troy) on Wednesday evenings for the weekly "shows" and the Village of Rochester Hills on Monday nights. Maybe I'll run into you at one of these events.

Motor City. What is T-Birds in troy? I work out that way and live near Fraser. Maybe I can join you? I missed last Saturday becuase of late emergency project at work for our customer.
C'Mon Tim, just because I drove my 99 to the last 2 CF-Dayton meets and now Yvonnes is the only C3 that show up. Alright, I'm busting out the 81 for the next one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They say there were 98 cars on the Skyline Drive cruise,of which I was one of 6 or 7 C-3's.Carlisle wasn't much different.I realize our cars are 20 plus years old and some may not be as nice as we would like, but I still look for them every showing I can,and will be there with mine if possible.
Redwing (Brian) are you going to CI5? If so, there will be at least 2 of us there! :D
Assuming I get my car on the road yet this week and assuming I don't get an offer to drive something else down, I'll be driving my '69 down for the third time. :steering:
I think there is another consideration other than time as to whether or not the C3s show. That is if the event is several hundred miles of driving and requires more than one day to attend, you start having issues with leaving the car unattended while eating, sleeping, meeting, etc. and a lot of these cars are covered by collector car insurance which requires the car to be attended or locked up.
T-Birds is in Troy at the corner of Livernois and Long Lake. They have a band and little give aways every Wednesday when they "officially" open for their car drive-ins (I think next week). See ya' there tonight
