2500 rpm @ 60 Sound Right?
I have a '77 Corvette with a 3 speed auto. I was wondering if being at 2500 rpm at 60 sounded correct. I found a gear ratio calculator and it said I had 3:47 gearing. Does anyone know the stock gearing of a '77 L48 3 speed. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ryan

That's about what I run in my 74. I'm pretty sure I've got 3:36 gears. A small change in tire diameter will throw those calculators off.

The standard gear for a car with an L48and auto trans was 3.08. The 4 speed manual usualy came with 3.36. You could have special ordered 3.55.
That is about what my car was running when I first got it; it had 3.08 with TH400 auto.
