don't know the other spec's ,intake,carb,ign. etc, but a solid 375hp and
4/425 lbs does sound to far of with a 383

Why so small? What heads are you using? I was pretty happy with the XR288-HR but traded up to a solid roller looking for some more umph...

Tell me a few things and I (and i'm sure others) can get a better basis for a recommendation:

1) Heads
2) Intake / Induction
3) Compression
4) Exhaust System
5) Rear Gear
6) Converter Stall (Where applicable)
7) Planned Usage

That about covers it.

Good Luck!

Sorry my reply took so long. What size heads are the darts (i'm assuming 200?), do you have any flow numbers from the port/polish? With that displacement you can get away with a little more cam, why not something around 230? Would make good midrange and pull pretty strong in the top end. Your going to want to get yoru valve lift to around .550 with those heads. If you want to use it as a driver with plenty of low end grunt and not too many blasts to 6000rpm that cam should work well.
I'm surprised more people haven't chimed in.

This is my set-up. I want the 270 roller cam, by the way.
388 stroker, AFR 190 heads, Dynomax 1 5/8" headers, 2.5 in" exhaust, Edelbrock RPM performer intake, Q-Jet, 268 H camshaft, 1.6 Pro Magnum roller rockers, about 10:1 compression. It dynoed 420hp and 440 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel. It's also a 4 speed, no cats, 3.55 rear gears.

Munday - 218 -224 with 112 lc is a mild cam. Your buildup will exceed the above posts dyno numbers because your cam is larger than his in duration and rollers are also good for extra power because of the amount of time that the valve is actually held open.

Your cam is on the upper edge to pass smog testing. Many of the C-4 guys limit their cams to the LPE 219/219 duration and many of them run solid high 11 second quarters.

Like in the other statement you could use more lift. So 1.6 roller rockers are a must. That also adds a couple of degrees of duration.

The car should run great :flag

I'll run some DD2000 runs for you and post them.

Does anyone know if the forum picture saving works again?

I sent you the dd2000

But it's 435 hp @5500 amd 475 tq @4000.

That's a ruff est. I would say that the RPM intake manifold is much better than DD2000 dual plane choice. Your head flow might be above the custom graph I also installed. The 475 Tq is what will win the races!:)

This cam is close to the one I'm using in a similar 383 build-up. I plan on 400+HP with my set-up with a smooth enough idle to run the A/C compressor at a 850RPM idle. The cam will make over 400HP if the heads flow well, I'm using Edelbrock Etec 200cc heads with a Super Ram EFI intake. We are still waiting for the heads but the news is they hit the wharehouse last Thursday so it should be running by July/August. 230cc intake ports on a 23degree head are a little large for a 383 in my book! I would go no bigger than 200-210cc and actually the AFR 195s or Pro Action 180cc heads would be my first pick for a 383.

Pretty tough with a roller cam unless you forget the locking bars! Flat tappet cam guys will have to learn to use GM EOS or Valvoline high zinc content racing oil to keep their Hi-po cams alive. The zinc anti-wear agents are being phased out to protect catalytic convertors in late model cars.
