Default WARNING WATCH OUT FOR THIS VETTE!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...EBWA%3AIT&rd=1

I almost went for the Buy It Now price but I wanted to make sure everything was as OK as the seller describes in the listing, luckily they gave me a number to call of a guy who is storing it for them. When I gave them a call he began to tell me that the rear glass was not installed, the seats arent bolted down, there are no door panels, the power windows don't work, and there is no door handle to get out from the inside!!!!

None of that information is listed, all they say is that the interior need a little work!!!
Am I wrong for being mad for almost waisting my time and money on this vette!
I also asked them if this Vette was is running condition to drive it from Boston to Cleveland and she said it would be no problem!! I guess if it rains then Im screwed then Huh??
Sorry for the rant
Dan

Sorry, but not a bad deal for $6800. Not a great deal, but not bad for a first time vette owner. The items you listed could easily be repaired in a weekend.

I know the items I listed could be repaired pretty easily but its the fact that none of those items were listed, and I would have had to drive it home and not had time to work on it before I get home. I just feel like I was lied to about the condition

Vehicle Condition

The condition is Excellent...the body is excellent and so is the engine...the car has been completly gone right through..Its runs so good , its like it just came off the showroom floor.

That statement alone is complete :bs if the guy you talked with says that there is things that need to be done to the car. Gotta love E-bay. I can't remember the last time that I looked at a car that was "like it just rolled off the showroom floor" but was missing things like door handles, classic! I think you have a right to be a little miffed. You always have to be careful when buying off of E-bay. I am not sure that I would buy a Vette that I couldn't see in person before hand, or at least have checked by a trusted forum member.

I agree, he is misleading. As most are on ebay. I looked at so many mint condition vettes that has cracks and rust before I bought mine.

I would never buy a car without seeing it first-hand or having someone
experienced - like a forum member check it out first.

It does look fairly decent from the pictures ... which don't show the "Lovely New England" rust.

Looks like it still has the original radio ... and guage bezel.
Seats look great.

Nah - the wife would kill me if I start looking at another. (* want an NCRS
vette *) - as in original - already have the not correctly restored.

Not a good 1st time 'Vette.

Too expensive for a race car.

I think I'd pass.

I would never buy a car sight unseen. I spent $300.00 on air fare to check mine out before buying. Small insurance.
