Re: L-81 VS 350Z HELP!! (allancook5)
The 350 runs the 1/4 mile in 15.2 sec I have a 76 corvette. This is my frist year out of high school and my car always got more attention then any car even stange 3 roush stangs 350Z and S2000. My corvette is getting some major changes so i can compeat with some higher class cars like vipers and ZO6s 911s..... But i also got a MB SLK230 with exhaust, bigger pullys, and a new ecu 240HP.. and I take 350Zs without a problem at tracks and at streeet races. My recomendation would be a bigger fule pump carb and 200SHOT of nitrous that should put many cars in their place. If you got a AUTO put a shift kit in......
PS AND THE 04 YAMAHA R1 IS THE MOST POWERFULL BIKE 180HP

Man don't even bother with that crap!! You have a classic Vette, and he has a new car. What kind of comparison is that? You're just playing into that little fools hands. Guys like him love this kind of crap, it makes them feel important.
Just enjoy your car for what it is . . . .

Don't bother with racing on the street......someone WILL get hurt/killed eventually, you get tickets/jailtime, and your car gets destroyed/impounded.
To spruce up your performance (but remember...keep your ego out of the driver's seat)....
1. Edelbrock aluminum heads, 64 cc. (you want torque!, trust me)
2. Edelbrock performer intake (you want torque, trust me)
3. Dynomax headers, 2.25" dual exhaust with x-pipe (did I mention torque?).
4. "mild" camshaft, a Comp Cam 268 would be great (depends on compression ratio) or a Comp Cam 270. (I have a 270) You may want to go with a Crane Cam, ground on a 112 degree lobe sep. angle, which gives you a better idle and idle vacuum (torque baby, torque).
5. 3:55 gears and a snappy transmission rebuild with a mild converter...or spring for a 700R4 overdrive tranny.
Not cheap stuff.....but this should push you back in the seat with authority. Don't get caught up in the horsepower hype, shoot for a broad & fat torque curve. Tune, Tune, tune, and test, test, test. A well-tuned torque motor, with good gears, and a driver who knows their car is tough combination.

Like some of the others have said : Save your money, :steering: your car and enjoy
it. You'll have time when school's done to play.
