As i got bored one afternoon i started thinking of a idea of a muffler that a friend of mine had told me about. He had told me that racebikes uses a a "cross" welded inside the mufflers to be able to get the noice down when they race at the tracks.
So i thought that i could use this on my sidepipes, but have more than one cross.
The sound is nice,a little on the quiet side (may have overdone the number of crosses) but gives a real nice rumble and doesnt seem to cost much HP. Going to make a new set with less crosses.. :smash: :smash:
I made these in a couple of hours as a Prototype,so they can be made more serious :smash:
Any thoughts on the design?
They work really nice.I had an augger type muffler before but i`ve always thought that they sounded a bit "hard",no rumble..
These inserts are made by 27 inch long 3 inch diameter perforated tube and the crosses are normal weldingrod inserted in a "spiral" pattern and i used steelwool as dampingmaterial.. :smash: :smash:
