Ok, ive decided that building my car to beat the Z isnt the awnser, i get more women, more looks, and more fun in the vett so who cares, im going to build it how i want. I've been so interested in puting a turbo on the beast, since it already has low compression, i think it would make a great combo, that and the gears, and heads, but ive looked and looked for any kit for a SBC 350 and have found that their were two companies that i know of Duntov and Martin, thats all ive found, i found a guy who had a martin on a message board for sale, total kit never installed for a 1000!!!, then i read the date of the post July something 2003, and hes sold it, any info at all would help, i think it would make a great performer/driver combo, i have an auto with a heck of a poopie kit, wieland intake maifold 650 edelbrock carb and a mild cam, so i think it would to great, so any info would be great.
i put a turbo on a 6cyl valient in 1972 and while it was blast back then, i would never turbo a vette, as mucho power is available without one. But if you have lots of time and money i would love to read about your adventure.
Im not too sure about the mucho power thing. Seems you cant get much more then 400 hp out of a NA 350 before you start losing some streetablity. With 10 lb of boost you can get 50% more hp.
someone is smoking crack, that much money for an Accel Turbosonic kit..sheesh. Remember, that thing is non intercooled and a draw through setup. No way you can run 20lbs of boost without intecoolers, or you need water injection. This kit is an old collection of rust.
The Martin setup is a much nicer kit, although also non intercooled and draw through also..
I'd leave it alone, would be nice for a couple of hundred..not for this amount.
