I've developed an exhaust leak at the rear of the passenger side manifold where it bolts into the head. The leak is not bad, "ticks" for less than a minute while the car warms up but I know it will only get worse over time.
Hopefully an easy fix; loose bolt vs a gasket problem.
Should I torque the bolts when the car is hot or cold or does it matter?

Torque it when it is cold - and don't wait too long as once it starts, it will get worse!
Chevrolet didnt use a gasket between the manifold and the head, I had a similar problem several years ago and put a gasket (steel) Victor I think only to have it blow out again in fairly short order. After two tries and failures I pulled the manifold and had a machine shop mill the flange straight reinstalled it and never had a problem again. This was on a 74 car I would guess the 82's didnt use gaskets either. Hopefully your problem will just be to tighten the bolts.
