Ok so I have accomplished the dreaded rear trailing arm sawzall ritual with success! :hurray: But I am exhausted and have a simple question re: the rear crossmember.
Ive unbolted it but it won't come down. Shouldnt that puppy just fall off with the weight of the differential just hanging on it and plunk to the floor?
Just for grins check your differential frame bracket, the part where the front pinion yoke bracket bolts to--- mine was rusted thru, didn`t look bad till I tested the area by hitting with a old screw diver and a hammer..the drain hole was clogged and water built-up and rusted thru on the bracket and a small area on the frame...if yours is bad replace it. The bracket is avaliable---E-mail me if you need one..Good Luck. :chevy
