Default Little rough on Acceleration

Just got an 80 vette and had complete tune up done including new set of wires. 53,000 miles on clock but car hadn't been used much over last few yrs. (only couple hundred miles or so) She starts and idles fine but at about 45 mph, if you get on it she seems to run a bit bumpy. Could this be a sign of a faulty carb or vac leak?
No smoke out back, no bad rattles or noises. Just annoying hesitation and moderate speeds when accelerating. Any ideas? THANKS!

I have the same problem with my '74. It has the orginal Quadrajet, starts great, WOT is fine, but that part throttle accerlaterion has hesitation. Very annoying !! If you haven't already, shoot some carb cleaner in it. It helped mine a little, but I am still going to replace the Quadrajet. :mad

My 79 does somthing similiar, except it is about 10 to 15 mph. Still a factory carb, would you guys recommend a rebuild or an aftermarket?? I have always heard a properly tuned Q-jet is hard to beat. Also I just noticed it loading up. This week I moved from sea lvl to 5000 ft elevation I knew it would have an effect but the carb seems alot worse.. :nonod:

How old is the is the fuel in it? It also might just need a little clearing out. I would gues you all ready tried that. If it has been sitting around a bunch the plugs would be the first place to look. The old varnished fuel will also damage the plugs as well as clog the carb. Sound like the carb has made it through setting up better then most will. Suspect fuel and plugs.
