Windshield weather-stripping
I getting ready to re-install my windshield in my 69 and need to know which size of weather-stripping to buy. NAPA has 3 different sizes available. None of the Vette catalogs that I have tell the size of the weather stripping.

If you mean the butyl tape that bonds the glass to the frame the AIM says it should be 1/4". But I would not use the butyl tape. You will get a much stronger bond with urethane windshield adhesive such as MMM 8609. You will need a few small 1/4" rubber blocks to hold the windshield from squeezing out the adhesive while it sets up. Also you will need some windshield etch primer and some pinchweld primer.
