Chambered-1
or Chambered-2
Only difference I can make out is more chambers on #2. So is #2 more restrictive? I'm pretty much set on the Aleens chambered system but which and also whether I am going to ceramic coat the pre-existing hedman headers or purchase new already coated headers?
You are correct, the difference is the "extra" chambering. I talked to the guys at Allen's a couple weeks ago, and was told many prefer the sound. Give 'em a call, they're very friendly and have a few extras they don't mention on their website.
I agree with 73 Vet. It looks like system #2 has chambers on the rear pipes. No doubt to quiet things down a bit. But system #1 as I have is not excessively loud although some may not enjoy a noise level that is non-stock.
I'll probably shoot for system #1. Allens does not make this for header applications so I'll probably go with manifolds. AnthonyLT1 has a new set for sale.
FYI: I have #1 on an otherwise stock '72 LT-1 and love the sound. It may seem loud at first (compared to stock mufflers), but you and your neighbors will get used to it... :D

Any reason for going with Allen's over Mid America???
They offer the system for headers and they are about $100 cheaper across the range. I have been looking into chambered systems for a while and am still undecided.
Cheers
