I did mine a couple of years ago, it went good.
I applied the glue to the glass, and laid the weatherstrip around it in the proper location. quickly installed the screws, and then mounted the T Tops back onto the vette. This helps keep the weatherstripping in place and also forces it into the glue. Let it sit for a day, and all should be good.

I agree with the last post. Apply the glue to the strip; screw on. You will find that the T-tops will barely snap in place with the new stripping. Just push it down and let it sit awhile and the weatherstip will mash itself down a bit.

I believe the tops are different on the late sharks. Not sure what screws you're talking about. Mine is a 77. Do you need to take the pins off that go into the T-bar and then put them back on?

I'm not sure what the difference is, but the 82 has 4 screws across the outside lip that screws the weatherstripping to the T Top frame.
