I pumped grease into the fitting under the car on the clutch linkage but I still get a squeak when I push the pedal. I contorted myself under the dash and I can see the pivot but it is obscured by the entire wiring harness and fuse box etc. Of course I don't want to squirt some lube all over that area. Any advice? Should I start pulling kick panels and such to get at it or is there some trick to lube this area? :(
Did you pump grease into the cross-shaft? It's probably more effective to remove the shaft and regrease the ball studs by hand. Also take the opportunity to replace the nylon seats at the frame-end mount.
While the shaft is removed, actuate the pedal by hand and see if the pivot makes noise. When reinstalling, apply some grease at each connection point.
