700 r4 into corvette, will this one work?
It's out of my 92 firebird 6 cyl. Tranny only has 62k on it but I would still have it rebuilt and beefed up. Will this one work? My th-350 hit the bucket apparently so I am looking for inexpensive options....looks like another summer of not driving.

I don't know if the 700R4 is this way but the TH350 internally was different between the 6 cyl and 8 cyl versions........so I've been told

I believe the cases are the same between v6 and v8. I believe the guts can be upgraded. Watch out for 2.8/3.1 700r4s- the bolt pattern is different than a sb/bb chevy.

By the way, the tailhaousings are different so you will need a new tailhousing unless you use the BowTie crossmember that puts the mount close to the trans pan. Either way you will have to deal with electric speedo in the firebird and you need mechanical. No big deal, but a few more parts.
