Still having problems with reverse lights. HELP!!!
A few weeks back I posted that my reverse lights were staying on. I have not had a chance to work on it until today and I'm having all kinds of problems.
Corvgreg posted a possible solution and I appreciated his response. He wrote the following:
The reverse light switch connected to the bottom of the inspection cover has adjustment in it. Loosen the two screws that hold the switch to the bracket and move the switch.
My problem is that I don't know where the inspection cover is. Where is it located on a 4 speed?? Do I need to take anything apart to get to the switch??
HELP!!! It is 77 degrees outside, partly cloudy, and the Vette is begging to get out of the garage!!

Mine is a muncie 4 speed.. The switch is on the side of the transmission on a bracket that is adjustable. Self explanitory when you see it.

Thanks for the link and the explanations!!! I found it!!!
I just finished adjusting the bracket. Now I don't get any reverse lights or turn signals???
I'm starting another thread on that one. Could it be a fuse??

Maybe you need to replace the switch. I had the switch go bad on my 71. Replaced it and now everything is fine.
