speedo problemo
I recently changed my gears from the stock 3.08 to 3.73. I have a turbo 350 transmission in a 1980. Can anyone tell me what the correct gear for my speedo would be and where to get it. thanks

First thing you need to do it pull the gear out of the trans to see what gear you currently have then you can order the correct one, most are color coded to make them easy to identify. Rule of them is for every 5 mph you are off you will need a gear with 4 teeth more for a high reading or 4 teeth less with a low reading.

According to the reference for my First Gen Camaro (also a TH350), you would need a "yellow" 24 tooth gear for 3.73 rear gears. Assuming the reference is correct, then you should have a blue 20 tooth gear in there now for 3.08 gears.
