I used the Reflectix insulation that I got from Lowes or Home Depot. I is made for attics and looks like foil covered bubble wrap. After driving around with no carpet and putting that suff in and carpet, it is like a dream. I would do it again in a heartbeat, because the noise and heat are now tolerable.
does anyoen know how this stuff compares to brownbread, dynamax or that paint that has little insulation bubbles in it? It is hard to get a good answer of which type of product is actually best.
I bit the bullet and put dynomax down on the surface....then Reflectex then the Ecklers sound barrier kit (has only select pieces). Carpet is in but havn't driven yet... can not wait to pit it against the DALLAS HEAT!
I ended up getting the Thermotec kit that Riks Corvette sells.
Works great for heat & noise. www.riksvet.com
Do a search for insulation. It comes in 4'x15' sheets
