TH350 renewing - tranny guys, advice please
Hey folks I am going to be removing my TH350 soon and plan on going through it. It sat behind a stock L48 for many many years (and 70k miles). While I have it out, I plan on putting a shift kit in as well as a mild torque converter. I was comtemplating getting a full blown rebuild kit but am now reconsidering. Are things really worn by 70k miles?? I don't want to take it out again if I can help it so want to do it right and have it last a long time. On the other hand, don't want to spend more time/money than I have to. I plan on just putting it behind a mild 250-300hp small block. Any other gotchas or tips for things I should do while I am there? Drain plug?? Etc???
thanks in advance for your help

PS: No, I don't want to go with a 200-4r or 700-r4 at this time. I just don't drive the car enough to justify the large expense at this point.

If you have it out, go all the way and go through it. The trans is too heavy just to take back out for something internally failing after just having it out....but that's my opinion.
