I have a question on using CARFAX. Every once in a while you see special links on websites (usually auto forums, etc,) that allow you to run a one time report for free.

There is one on the http://www.s10forum.com right now. Use this link for a thread I started there and you will see the link in the top right corner. http://www.s10forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118697

Problem is I have alway wanted to run one on my Vette (I think it might have been smacked once becuase of little tell tail signs) but the VIN is never accepted. It has to be something like 21 characters and after 1981. My car is a 1977. Is it possible to run a 1977 VIN on CARFAX. If it can be done mine is 1Z37L7S401716. It sure does not fit the profile for what they are asking.

Anyway guys use the link and have your other cars checked out.

The link I posted above is random. If it does not come up first time bop around the site a little and it will come up eventually in the same upper right hand corner.
