Fiber Optics Question
Where the rear optics connect to the console, what holds the cables to the lens. Apparently mine have never been connected correctly. My cables have the ferrels on them. But there is nothing to hold them to the lens. I looked in a Zip catalog with no pics, and it was no help for me. Need a suggestion here. Thanks.

It's been a while but I think I remember it just being a clamp around the bundle and it was screwed into a post molded in on the bottom of the console near the fiber optics bezel. Each fiber line has a small brass "top hat" fitting on the end that presses into the lens.

That's correct and i have both just installed 9top/ bottom of console. corvette Central has both fro $19.95 as a kit. Mine works beautifully, looks great at night.

The ferrules you mention just press into the lens for each fiber bundle and kind of snap to fit. Step 7 shows what they look like...

I took this picture from Z-mans webpage and this is exactly what I have. I was just thinking that there should have been something like on the front set of fiber optics. In order to make them fit tighter I fit a piece of heat shrink over the end and it stays put now.
