Im looking at some 16"or 17'' chrome rallys with 4 1\2 " back space. Will they fit my 68? And what size tire do i need to keep the proper rolling diameter? Wheel Vintiques, Has any of you bought from these guys? http://www.wheelvintiques.com/images...allye-Chro.jpg

I have been considering doing the same kind of wheels. I think you want to keep the rolling diameter at ~27" to stay at stock appearance from the side. That will fill your wheelwells. Some folks like a 26" tire for better appearance. You didn't say how wide the rims are you want to buy. I think 16 or 17x8 with a 4" backspace is about right... Your 1968 came with 15x7 wheels stock. From 1969 on they were 15x8 on the stock rally wheels. As for tires, if you go with 16" rims, the choices don't seem to get you close to the 27" - go a bit smaller like to a 245/50ZR16 (at 25.7") and change the speedo gear. If you go with 17" rims, then you can get right up on the 27" diameter. BFG makes a G-Force KDWS that will do that for you with their 255/50ZR17 at 27.1". Their 255/45ZR17 comes in an inch smaller at 26.1" if you want a bit smaller tire. Check their web site:

Enjoy!
