I don't think any classic insurance company will insure you if you are under 25. I think you have to put it under your normal insurance policy. I might be wrong but most I have seen will not insure you.

Hagerty is the way to go. My son who will be 22 next month just bought a 23 Fort T-Bucket. We contacted Hagerty and combined both our cars onto one policy. Require 5 year good driving record and the lady said they tend to ignore minor infractions.
I applied to American Collectors Insur. Co. and they had me sign a statement that no one with less than 10 years driving experiance was allow to drive the car, so I signed it. Then they said I was not accepted because my son (19) had 2 tickets. If he is not allowed to drive the car then how the he.. does his driving record come into play! :mad I figure I'm better off finding another ins. co. Any suggestions on one that is good to deal with?

100,000/300,000/50000 @ 35.00 per year liability
$0 deductible-24-15yr old car @ 1.40 per 100.00 declared value
towing@ 6.00
Just off the top of my head, the biggest advantages were lower rates and the agreed upon value. My 71 Vette was $225 per year with an agreed upon value of $28k. There are usually some restrictions on how the car is used, some have mileage clauses, some do not want you to leave the car unattended when out with it, some want it to have a locked storage ect.
What's the benefit of "classic" insurance over my normal (Progressive) insurance?

May not be any benefit, all depends upon how you use your car. Classic or collector insurance is for collector cars that are not driven on a regular basis. These are the cars that live in the garage and may get out on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon. For the classic insurance they must be kept in a locked garage, you cannot drive them to work or to school, some companies have milage limits. The thought is that they are not exposed to the daily risk of rush hour traffic like a daily driver would be. In exchage you get VERY LOW rates. You also get an "agreed" value for the car in case of a total loss (where with normal insurance you get the lowest amount they can get away with pay you; usualy bookvalue less depreation)
But if your car is a driver then the standard/normal insurance is the way to go.
I got a ticket two years ago, so don't know if they will overlook, but will try.
BTW, Whats the point in punishing everyone young, just because of their age? Shouldn't it be regular priced until You get a ticket or have an accident, etc. and prove to them you are a liability?
I have had them for 3 years now because companies like Grundy and Hagerty would not cover me, due to the fact my daily driver vehicle is "too old and unreliable". Try and find something more reliable than a 1978 Chevy pickup to drive :mad
